A single ceramic piece begins with a blank bisque (fired earthenware clay) canvas. The painting is done from scratch following our designs or your submitted images directly on that canvas using ceramic underglazes. Then it gets fired (about 8 hours with another 12 hour cooling period), glazed and refired (another 6 hours and 10 hour cooling period) to achieve its final finish.
Production alone can take up to two weeks, so we can't rush these creations. No two pieces are exactly alike, even when we are asked to paint two of the same scene!
